Losing the Belly Fat for Women

There are some women who think washboard abs are a guy thing.

But it’s a growing trend for women to take on rigorous training to get flat and toned abdominals. This isn’t surprising at all since working for a smaller waistline also leads to keeping fit in general and looking fit, healthy, and sexy.

But many women fear getting bulky muscles and what we might generally call a masculine appearance. The fact is, however, that women can’t generally put on that level of bulk because their bodies cannot produce the required amount of testosterone to do so.

The key to success for women in getting a flat stomach is proper nutrition.

Increasing your metabolism is one effective way to burn off the extra inches. One way to do so is to eat more frequent, but smaller meals. You can eat 4, 5, or even 6 meals per day. When you eat every two to three hours, you can stabilize your blood sugar. It also helps satisfy cravings, maximize metabolism and energy. And you fill the need for fuel to build muscles.

A balanced diet is critical!

Eat sufficient protein: As rule of thumb, multiply your total bodyweight by 1.2. The result will be the amount of grams of protein that you should consume every day.

Don’t cut out all the carbohydrates: But you’ll need to eat the right types and amounts. Carbs are important to supply women (and men) the energy their bodies need. Multiply your lean body mass 0.8. The result is the total amount of grams of carbs that you need. But do keep an eye on the carbs. Revealing your toned abs is largely a function of losing the belly fat which covers them up now. So eat foods with low carbs such as brown rice, oatmeal, and sweet potatoes.

Always include vegetables into your diet: Veggies aid metabolism and make the absorption or protein faster and easier. Make sure you eat green leafy veggies like green beans, broccoli, and lettuce… These foods ensure cravings can be suppressed without getting hungry.
